Creighton University, located in Omaha, Nebraska, is a comprehensive Jesuit university composed of nine colleges and schools including Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Professional Studies, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions, Dentistry, and a Graduate School. The College of Nursing offers programs at the baccalaureate (BSN), masters (MSN), and doctoral (DNP) levels. Creighton University College of Nursing has a campus in Hastings, Nebraska. The College of Nursing serves over 500 students in its BSN programs and over 300 students in its graduate nursing programs.


Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, is seeking a 12 month, full-time, family nurse practitioner in our Doctor of Nursing Practice program. This position is for the College's Omaha campus.

The College is seeking a 12 month, full-time, family nurse practitioner in our Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Ideal candidates must possess a doctoral degree in nursing or related field and be nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. 


Please note, rank will be determined based on education and experience. 


Faculty responsibilities will include classroom instruction, clinical teaching/supervision of students, curriculum planning and development, facilitating development of clinical sites for preceptor experiences, and academic and scholarly project advising. A strong commitment to excellence in teaching and the flexibility to teach collaboratively across the curriculum are desired. Pursuit of scholarly and service activity is necessary for professional standing and advancement.


An Assistant Professor will teach courses and seminars for undergraduate and graduate students. Is responsible for advising students.  Serves on University Committees and can choose to participate in other campus-related activities/groups.  Must be able to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching.

Qualifications\:

Doctoral degree in nursing or related field and be nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner; Must have prior teaching experience at the graduate level and evidence of recent clinical practice; Must have a current unencumbered license as an RN and APRN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for license.
