Product Manager - myCreighton

Job Description

The Product Manager with general guidance & direction will be responsible for managing the full product life cycle of myCreighton by combining feedback from students, faculty, staff, alumni and other constituents to transform the digital experience of Creighton University. This position will serve as the expert and spokesperson, providing product leadership, technical direction, and assistance in driving overall product growth and transformation. The position will create a product vision, road map, tactical action plan and ensure product initiatives align with University strategic objectives. This position will also work with the engineering teams to build what matters most to our constituents and develop a knowledge management repository to ensure the effective usage of myCreighton.

Primary Duties:

  • Strategy - Manage a product vision that aligns with University objectives. The execution of the vision will be represented by creating a tactical road map for our technical teams to follow.
  • User-Adoption - Champion user-adoption by facilitating appropriate communication and provide analytical reporting to University stakeholders as evidence of user-adoption.
  • Product Support - Work with end-users to fix problems, do training and gather feedback on new enhancements. Work with technical end-users to plan feature release, system patches and prioritize the backlog of work items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management, Communication, Marketing, Statistics or similar field and/or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 3 years combined experience in one or more of the following:

Experience developing and managing a new or existing product from inception to launch and into production support.

Experience managing a capital budget, program/project performance and financial performance.

Experience actively managing internal resources, external vendors and/or offshore teams.

Experience conducting regular analyses of user adoption rates, feature success metrics and ways to maximize value to end-users.

Experience reviewing industry trends and provide actionable insight to stakeholders.

Higher Education experience preferred

Required Certifications and/or Licenses:

Must currently hold or pass the ITIL V.3 Foundation Certification Exam within 6 months of start date.
