Position Details:

CSG is looking to hire a Software Development Engineer II based in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining and debugging custom CSG applications used by external clients. This position will perform release testing, and interface with the end-user to define requirements and complete technical documentation. The Software Development Engineer may assist with on-site client issues. The Software Development Engineer is responsible for complex software development assignments within the online payment team.

What your day will look like (most days):

  • You will design, analyze, write code, modify and debug CSG product applications, specifically in .Net applications 
  • Analyze and perform bug verification, release testing for assigned products
  • Engage in cross-team activities ensuring completion of projects on schedule
  • Required to create and maintain both customer and technical documentation for tools and processes created or modified
  • Required to leverage CSGâ??s source control best practices for tools and configuration items created or modified
  • Responsible to provide customer support for existing and new monitoring infrastructure  

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Bachelorâ??s Degree or Equivalent Experience required
  • 2-5 years previous development experience
  • Experience supporting automation and data processing and ETL
  • High proficiency in Windows-based C#/.Net environments
  • Experience with .Net web frameworks such as Web Forms and MVC
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation and documentation
  • Ability to read and write scripts in a variety of scripting languages
  • Working knowledge of web services, IIS 7, C# or related .Net programming languages, and database systems
  • Some SQL database experience and SQL Server experience
  • Build automation tools experience
  • Ability to recognize areas in need of improvement and solve complex problems related to interconnected software components
  • Working knowledge of Windows and operating systems

What would be nice to have:

  • Knowledge in Web technology as ASP
