Pediatric Hospital Medicine Physician

Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, along with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting a Pediatric Hospital Medicine physician. This is a unique opportunity with potential to advance a strong clinical and academic career in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The successful candidate will join the 24 faculty in the division. The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine maintains a diverse array of clinical and academic programs that include general inpatient pediatrics at the region’s only quaternary pediatric center, sub-specialty co-management, and inpatient services at the region’s only pediatric rehabilitation hospitals.  In addition, Children’s serves as the primary teaching site for two local medical schools and the UNMC-Creighton-Children’s combined pediatric residency program. This individual will promote the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the institution. Individuals with fellowship training and/or experience in quality improvement or implementation science are particularly encouraged to apply.

Founded by the community and for the community, Children’s is the only full-service, pediatric specialty health center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. The Child Health Research Institute, an innovative partnership between UNMC and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, promotes research in pediatric health, consolidates research in pediatric disease from both hospitals into one institute, and advances knowledge about childhood health and diseases. It was established in 2017 and aims to assist investigators with start-up funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science or translational research.
