Job Description

Just like the children we serve, Children’s is growing quickly and hiring an Application Consultant for our IT department. In this role you will develop, configure, test and maintain Children's computer applications as well as research, analyze and correct system and user problems. Work with business, access and finance departments to define system requirements and implement changes as needed to the existing systems.

1.        Design, configure, test and maintain Childrens Hospital & Medical Centers computer applications to accomplish the hospitals strategic goals and meet the needs of the end-users.

2.        Research, analyze and correct system and user problems in a timely manner and maintain documentation of issues and resolutions. Participates with On-Call or Monthly Maintenance Teams.

3.        Set up new user logons and maintain system user security for Childrens Hospital & Medical Centers computer applications.

4.        Participate on project teams or work with individual departments to define requirements for changing new & existing systems. Works with the team to define process flows & make recommendations for the most efficient utilization of applications.

5.        Analyze and make recommendations for design and modification of reports as needed from the various Childrens applications.

6.        Monitor multiple interface queues & work with the interface team to identify & resolve issues when they arise. Contact vendors for assistance as needed.

7.        Complete special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

         Current technical knowledge of Information Technology, focusing on application development and support.

         Current knowledge of applying technology focused in the area of healthcare, finance and business.

         Skill in use of MS Office applications.

         Good organizational and communication skills.

         Ability to utilize critical thinking skills for problem solving.

         EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

         Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or medical profession required. Similar work experience may substitute for education.

         Minimum two years' experience in Information Technology or healthcare finance field preferred
