The Marketing Specialist works with Marketing team and agency to develop long and short-range marketing plans for assigned areas, products, and marketing mediums of the company. Develops, coordinates and executes all processes and deliverables associated with implementing in-store and off-site events. Ensures all are in line with company goals. Manages the Borsheims brand presence on social media channels for store promotions, seasonal campaigns, in-store and off-site events, and everyday use. Reports and tracks metrics and monitors results and effectiveness of targeted goals.
The Ideal Candidate should have:
Four-year college degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising Communications, or related field
2-3 years of experience in Marketing
Event planning experience
Experience creating marketing campaigns and programs to promote events
Experience styling product to be photographed for social media channels.
Social media content calendar management and account management for Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Develop content ideas and story boards, write posts and captions, and style product.
Create social media content for all marketing materials utilizing the Borsheims voice.
Excellent storytelling and messaging skills that appeal to audience segments
A plus but not required to have experience with third party content and SEO platform software.
Excellent time management, communication and organization skills
Have a valid driver’s license to travel to and work at off-site events
Responsibilities and Duties:
Works with Marketing team to develop long and short-range marketing plans for assigned areas, products, and marketing mediums of the company. Develops goals and tactics for each experiential marketing activity. Ensures communication and cohesive branding of events/products to maximize sales potential, enhance the in-store experience and stay in line with company strategy and goals.
Plans, coordinates, promotes and executes the event plan for all applicable marketing campaigns including, but not limited to, the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder weekend, community events, in-store trunk shows and designer appearances, and vendor events. Provides onsite event coordination and support.
Responsible for all aspects of event planning and logistics (external and in-store) including, but not limited to, finding venues, negotiating prices/contracts, vendor management, arranging food and beverage, ordering supplies and audiovisual equipment, making travel arrangements, ordering event signage, and ensuring appropriate décor (florals, linens, color schemes, etc.) to meet the quality expectations and customer needs of Borsheims.
Reviews and makes recommendations to improve the event planning and implementation process. Evaluates campaign effectiveness in terms of sales results and other advertising benefits derived from campaigns. Evaluates Return on Investment for in-store and off-site events and makes recommendations for future campaigns.
Adheres to budgets. Oversees bid processes to ensure Borsheims receives market rates. Communicates with vendors to ensure proposed costs are met or to resolve cost discrepancies. Manages assigned project budgets. Creates and maintains vendor relationships.
Communicates with managers, buyers, facilities, security and any other departments/staff needing event information.
Manages the Borsheims brand presence on social media channels with consistent, fresh and effective content and messaging to maximize all channels. Maintains Borsheims social media style guide. Finds and build relationships with online influencers to grow Borsheims’ social media followers.
Works with buyers to ensure the appropriate product is being featured in social media campaigns.
Reports on social media monitoring and provides continual analysis of marketing goals. Tracks social media metrics and adjusts the social strategy as best practices emerge.
Maintains a quality control process ensuring all social media channels have consistency of voice and tone, are on brand, error-free, and consistent in style and messaging.
Assists in styling product for social media photoshoots in conjunction with Photography & Digital Artists. Uses Adobe Creative Suite, in cooperation with the Graphic Marketing Design Specialist to produce creative for social channels.
Provides timely communication and status updates to Marketing Manager to ensure a cohesive team effort.
Performs other duties as requested by the Marketing Manager.
