Candidates applying to this position must reside within the Omaha metro. This position allows remote flexibility but will require the team come to the office 3-4 days per month.
The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for partnering with management throughout the organization on the overall analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the Company's strategic and financial objectives. This role is responsible for providing key internal stakeholders with value-added, business performance insights, and financial analysis to assist in their decision-making processes for managing the day-to-day and long-term needs. This position will play a key role in the Companyâ??s annual budget and forecast processes, as well as providing ad-hoc analysis to finance and business leadership. Articulating and effectively communicating business performance insights and impacts to the business in written and presentation format is a critical part of the role.

What you'll do:

  • Design, prepare and analyze standard, and ad-hoc, financial reports and present recommendations to management related to operational performance, KPIâ??s, and risks and opportunities.

  • Drive profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics, while advising management on insights and recommended actions.

  • Support the development of robust monthly reporting packages that provide timely and reliable financial information, including analytics that accompany the financial reports.

  • Analyze monthly/quarterly actuals to plan/forecast/prior year, identifying the key business performance drivers, reasons for any variances and presenting conclusions.

  • Continuously refine projections and analyze variances for all lines of business.

  • Provide decision support and analysis.

  • Prepare succinct and clear presentations that simplify complex topics.

  • Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve reporting capabilities to drive business decisions.

  • Provide support and/or lead ad hoc projects.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelorâ??s degree in finance, accounting or a related field

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in financial analysis, budget accounting, or a related position

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills

  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP

  • Strong financial modeling skills, along with understanding of financial reporting and cash flow information

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks, while meeting deadlines

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft products, specifically Excel and PowerBI

  • Ability to act and operate independently, with minimal daily direction, to accomplish objectives

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties

  • Highly organized with continuous improvement mindset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.

The ability to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments.

The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.
