Job Description

  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering, health systems engineering, healthcare administration, organizational development, a health-related profession, or a similar field of study with a strong analytical base is required.  Masters degree is preferred.
  • Lean (or Lean Six Sigma) black belt certification or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
Experience & Skills\:
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressively more responsible experience in industrial engineering, quality/process improvement, or business is required. 
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in Lean or Lean Six Sigma deployment is required, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Basic analytical skills necessary for the evaluation of systems and changes and preparation of a variety of reports and analyses.  Must also possess a level of analytical ability to problem-solve, evaluate, plan, and direct process improvement projects and benchmarking activities for all clinical and non-clinical departments.
  • Basic interpersonal skills necessary to build effective relationships and to adequately explore complex/sensitive situations with executive management, department management, line staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies when planning and evaluating work flows,  policies/procedures, and systems, as well as the ability to explain, teach, and present the related issues to these groups.
  • Experience in managing multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect
  • Documented success meeting the Accountabilities of an CHI Health PE Level 1 preferred.
