Preferred but not required. New graduate accepted.
Successful completion of an Associate of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and the Associated School Internships.
Successful completion of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Exam.
Certified by the National Board for Certification an Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) as a COTA. Licensed in Nebraska or Iowa as an OTA in good standing. In Iowa a Temporary OTA license (TOTA) will be accepted.
BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following\: American Red Cross\: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute\: CPR, PRO, must say Professional Level-with AED, and American Heart Association\: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
Experience in acute, rehab, home or skilled OT care. Specialized experience with neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation positioning and wheelchair evaluations.
Excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills required.
