Job Description: Web Technologies Instructor-General
Position Purpose:
Technical Experts develop and maintain the technology systems at AIM and/or using advanced technology tools to perform position duties. They proactively find innovative technology solutions to solve complex problems to drive business growth. They leverage best practices in product and software development and stay abreast of the latest IT developments.
Essential Job Functions:
Web Technologies Instructors provide curriculum development, instruction, and mentorship to students enrolled at the AIM Code School. They are expected to be experienced in their field with a focus on information technology. In addition to conducting workshops and instruction, instructors will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of instructional content, recruit students and companies for training, and be involved with community engagement.
Instructors should uphold the mission of the AIM Institute to inspire and grow tech talent.

Teach/maintain a standardized curriculum for the assigned course which may include one of all of the following:

Introduction to Web Development,

Additional Courses as Developed

Help in the Recruitment of Students for the Code School, Specifically their Assigned Course

Mentor above and beyond technical knowledge including, job skills, resume writing assistance, ect.

Field Questions From Students As Needed During the Duration of the Course
-
Create or collaborate to create course resources for assigned classes.
-
Instruct day/evening classes/workshops as assigned.
-
Engage the community about the benefits of the Tech Education and specifically the Code School
-
Help assist with development needs for the AIM Institute
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, 2+ years’ experience working with related technologies, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 6 years.

Preferred experience in a classroom setting instructing for a similar field.
