Data Analyst Intern

The AIM institute is a non-profit whose mission is to grow, connect and inspire the tech talent community in Nebraska through educational and career development initiatives. Our goal is to build a stronger tech talent pipeline in the state through our programs and services, to help solve for the tech talent gap and to to enrich the lives of those who lack access and resources to technology and tech instruction.

AIM needs a bold, engaging, supportive, tech-savvy (yes, that spells “best”) individual who is passionate about data and wants to bring their analytical knowledge to a non-profit organization! The right candidate will be detail-oriented, passionate about data analysis methodologies and efficiency, and confident about the accuracy of their work.

This position will have you:

  • Using statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
  • Working with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment
  • Identifying and recommending new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
  • Using data to create models that depict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
  • Working with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Computer Engineering preferred
  • Data mining experience preferred
  • Experience in a data analyst role preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High accuracy in reports and analyses
