Inside Sales Representative

AIM needs a bold, engaging, supportive, tech-savvy (yes, that spells “best”) sales professional to oversee and address our customers’ technical needs. You will help us increase our community impact by generating new business and building relationships to position AIM products. You will provide accurate technical service before and after the point of sale and combine packaged solutions to customer challenges. 

We need you to have at least some sales experience, and to represent the values and mission of AIM to our customers. You should be tech-savvy and able to explain technical details and requirements to a non-technical audience. You should be driven by results and the desire to achieve specific goals. Duties:

  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals
  • Open doors to foster new relationships with potential customers
  • Perform daily, consistent prospecting activities that align with our sales pipeline
  • Generate outbound sales calls and in-person client meetings according to expected goals
  • Provide technical support for customers to strengthen pre-sales and post-sales processes
  • Address all product-related queries on time
  • Train customers to use products effectively
  • Provide developers with customer feedback to help identify potential new features or products
  • Report on product performance 
  • Identify ways to reduce support costs
  • Analyze customer needs and suggest upgrades or additional features accordingly
  • Liaise with the sales department to win new business and increase sales  
  • Establish best practices and keep track of sales performance metrics

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of sales/account management experience 
  • Passion for tech education and tech career development
  • A background in technical support for subscription-based products/tech products is preferred
  • Able to ask great discovery questions and build a packaged proposal including multiple AIM products (Consultative sales experience preferred, but not required)
  • Familiarity with software and front-end development
  • An ability to grasp customer needs and suggest timely solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Course study in Computer Science or relevant field
