Essential Functions

Financial management of restricted fund accounts – ensuring expenditures are allowable, allocable and reasonable and are in compliance with the granting agency’s regulations and Uniform Guidance. Manage effort reporting.
Prepare and submit financial reports and invoices for assigned grants and contracts, meeting various deadlines. Provide excellent customer service to Project Directors and staff in solving problems that arise with their grants and contracts. Provide on-going grants management training to departments and Project Directors.
Stay up to date on federal rules and regulations by attending conferences and webinars so it can be shared with the Project Directors and their departments.
Assist with the financial management of Service Centers.

Work Schedule Typically 8:00 - 5:00
Additional Duties

Generate and distribute Personnel Activity Reports (PARS) as scheduled. Review PARS as they are returned, reconciling them to SAP and following up with the departments if any changes/corrections made to the PARS need further clarification to ensure we are in compliance. Create new award files and update SAP. Close out files as grants terminate. Perform special projects when they are requested involving the financial management of grants and contracts.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
Three years of general accounting experience or experience managing grants, preferably in a higher education setting and experience ensuring compliance with legal or contractual requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with A133 audits and fiscal year-end closeouts.
Customer Service experience.
