The Financial Support Coordinator supports the duties of the Assistant Director, Loans in the everyday operation of the loan programs. This position processes Parent PLUS Loan applications and assists in processing private alternative loans, including monitoring loan status and disbursement. This position assists in the transmission of loan data to the Department of Education’s Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) system and ELM. The Financial Support Coordinator monitors and assigns loan activities including, but not limited to, Master Promissory Notes for Stafford, PLUS and Grad PLUS, loan entrance and exit counseling, and students with less than half time enrollment. This position assists in troubleshooting loan problems using the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), COD and ELM, as well as answer questions from students or staff members regarding specific loan issues.
|Work Schedule||M-F, 8 A.M. - 5 P.M. but may vary|
The Financial Support Coordinator provides support to the Assistant Director for other projects as assigned. The position also requires that the individual be cross-trained with the other Coordinator positions (Scholarships and Grants) in order to fill-in gaps during peak processing or employee absences.
Serve as primary backup for the Assistant Director of Loan Operations by performing duties to ensure loan processes are completed in a timely manner in his or her absence.
