Job Description

SECTION I - POSITION PURPOSE

  • Incident Coordinators(IC) operate from the Incident Response Center (IRC) – a 24/7/365 unit designed as the hub for averting and/or mitigating various forms of exposures.
  • The IC position facilitates the intake, categorization, interpretation, and response procedures related to Accidents and Security as well as any associated claims.

SECTION II- DIMENSIONS

  • Fulfills all responsibilities associated with facilitating the intake of and response to incidents, including but not limited to: Accidents, Security, and all related Claims (Physical Damage, Cargo, Auto Liability, Workers Compensation, Hazmat, etc.)
  • Fulfills all responsibilities regarding the issuance and maintenance of Passenger Accident (Rider) and Pet policies including any required investigations.
  • Fulfills required support functions associated with the dispatching of Hazmat (hazardous materials) loads and confirmation of Permits.

SECTION III - ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Intake Accident calls and initiate appropriate response protocols as required internally and/or as required by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) such as DOT (Department of Transportation) accident testing.
  • Intake Security calls related to the dispatch/briefing of drivers to minimize the potential for loss and/or to respond to a loss and/or incident.
  • Intake OS&D (Overage, Shortage & Damage) calls and initiate appropriate response protocols as required to record the incident or mitigate a claim.
  • Intake all other incidents as called in or needed
  • Issue and update Passenger Accident( “Rider “) and Pet Policies
  • All other duties and functions as needed
  • Mandatory overtime exist when warranted

SECTION IV – REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND CHARACTERISTICS (should be minimum qualifications needed for the position)

  • College degree required or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-(verbal, electronically, written).
  • Attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Works well with others and within a working team concept
  • Bi-lingual proficiently a plus.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
  • Must have excellent attendance record in prior jobs.
  • Desire to be challenged and work in a fast-paced environment
