SECTION I - POSITION PURPOSE

This position works with Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff at both, corporate and subsidiary levels implementing Continuous Improvement Initiative cores of process engineering, standardization, operational effectiveness, behavior and change management. Provides data collection and analysis to support CI initiatives. Identifies critical issues and facilitates the design and implementation of organization-wide continuous improvement solutions. Functions as a teacher, advisor, project manager, and facilitator.

 

SECTION II - ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Support organization-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives to meet strategic goals, achieve operational effectiveness and assist in the development of technology plans.
  • Manages a portfolio of performance improvement projects ensuring time lines, milestones, and deadlines are organized, coordinated, communicated, documented, and met.
  • Analyzes current systems and recommends improvements throughout all applicable areas.
  • Ensure use of Standard CI tools identified as best practice by conducting Management Operating System Compliance Audits and area observations.
  • Collects data and develop metrics that provide for process measurement and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze and display system data to prioritize opportunities, deepen understanding of the problem and help choose the appropriate action.
  • Assist in managing and facilitate small, medium and large groups toward desired outcomes.
  • Lead and actively analyze existing flow of people, activities, materials, work methods, policies & procedures, supervisory structure, and/or computerized systems to support improvement objectives.
  • Teach and model CI methodology and application to daily work. 
  • Perform various research, administrative and other ad hoc Continuous Improvement projects as and when required

SECTION III – REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND CHARACTERISTICS (should be minimum qualifications needed for the position)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field;
  • 2+ years of direct Continuous Improvement experience.
  • 3+ years of Service Oriented Operational Experience; 5+ years of professional experience
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in verbally, in written form, and electronically.
  • Must have the ability to make relevant decisions and judgments.
  • Must have the ability to be an effective team member as well as work independently.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate maturity and be able to respond positively to constructive criticism, suggestions, and conflicting ideas.
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with people in all levels of the organization.
  • Must have flexibility to travel and work late when required.
  • Must demonstrate: proficiency in Excel, MS Word, Power Point, and working knowledge of MS Outlook email application and various web-based databases applicable to the field.
