POSITION PURPOSE

The Developer /Analyst will be responsible for developing applications and integrations using the Openspan Automation and Analytics platform (www.openspan.com).  This will include programming, report writing, and other data related tasks. This position will work closely with the vendor to manage and drive the solution from current state to a fully integrated solution for all CTG companies.  This position requires excellent communication, technical and project management skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops fully-deployable production solutions using the Openspan development tools
  • Performs in-person detailed discovery of application and users using Openspan
  • Gathers and prioritizes user requirements, makes assessments (effort and feasibility) and clearly defines project scope
  • Manages and proactively communicates project issues, priorities, escalation of issues, and resolution
  • Maintains consistent contact with other project team members (including vendor) to ensure that progress is being made, issues are being addressed and expectations are being met
  • Perform quality checks to ensure exceptional quality
  • Provide business users the data required for metrics and analysis
  • Create and maintain documentation for all projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or other relevant field is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience working with enterprise-class software as a programmer/analyst
  • Relevant .NET development experience
  • Relevant Java, JVM, JNI and COM experience
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL is required. Specific familiarity with MSSQL or Oracle RDBMSs is expected, including stored procedure syntax.
  • Ability to work independently, under consultative direction only, or in a team environment
  • Possesses the drive and resourcefulness to make contributions both inside and outside specific areas of responsibility
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences and in diverse situations
  • Excellent troubleshooting, reasoning, design, and risk assessment skills
  • Proven ability to present ideas effectively to both individuals and groups
  • Highly developed analysis and problem solving skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
