Responsible for handling patient complaints on bad debt accounts, making sure the placement files get sent to the agencies correctly and also making sure the invoices get paid to the agencies.
Required: High school graduate or equivalent.
Required: Minimum of three years job related experience of billing and reimbursement.

Department Position Summary:
The goal of the Agency Liaison is to provide assistance to the collection agencies in order to facilitate the account resolution process. The liaison is responsible for verifying the total of dollars and numbers of accounts placed weekly to the primary collection agencies. Responsible for verifying the totals of dollars and numbers of accounts placed monthly to the secondary collection agencies. Responsible for notifying the Supervisor and Manager if files are not returned in a timely manner from the agencies according to the policies and procedures. Responsible for updating the monthly report showing the primary collection agencies collection statistics. Responsible for answering questions from the collection agencies, closing and retrieving accounts, reviewing and resolving disputes and updating information regarding insurance address changes, etc. Discusses any unusual problems or circumstances with Supervisor and Manager. Performs other duties as assigned.
