The Manager of Surgical Radiology provides leadership and direction for the department, including the staff, to support the mission, vision and strategic plan of the hospital.
This team member is accountable and responsible for all aspects of leadership & management, including 24 hour responsibility for the direct and/or indirect care of surgery customers in need of radiological services. This includes strategic planning, preparing and adhering to yearly budget, patient safety, quality of care, personnel functions (interviewing/hiring/corrective action), staff education, and daily operations orientation.
This team member will service as the subject matter expert and radiation safety officer for Surgical Services. He/She must be knowledgeable about a wide variety of surgical radiology procedures and equipment including, but not limited too, O-Arm, Intraoperative CT, C-ARM and various hybrid OR type equipment.
Additionally the Manager of Surgical Radiology will collaborate with nursing colleagues, physician leaders and ancillary departments to ensure the customer's needs are meet in a high quality; efficient manger. In conjunction with the AVP of Surgical Services, will develop departmental goals and decision-making activities which affect unit operations and patient care. The position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilization of intraoperative x-ray equipment to create high quality diagnostic images. This individual must be a mentor and role model of professionalism for staff and participate as an active member of hospital committees as assigned.
Additional areas of responsibility include participation in and supports of the integration of health care technology for continuity of patient care, as well as, collaborates with Colleges of Nursing faculty to foster a positive learning environment for student clinical experiences.
Required: A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program.

Required: 5 years hospital clinical experience with 3 years in the OR setting. At least 2 years supervisory experience
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
ARRT certified and compliant with all continuing education mandates
BLS required within 30 days of hire.
