Job Summary: The Project Manager II directs and coordinates activities of project to ensure that goals and/or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through project team members. As part of those responsibilities, this Project Manager will work with lower level Project Managers, end users and other support groups to support the hospital. Education: Required: Bachelors degree in computer science or business or healthcare Hold PMP Certification; of if not PMP certified, become PMP certified within first two years of employment Preferred: Experience: Five or more years of work experience with at least three of those years functioning in a project management position Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques. Knowledge of IT Service Management and frameworks such as ITIL standards is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Customer-service focused Self-motivated and eager to learn Strong organization and analytical skills Able to think critically, assess input on system requests, and develop possible solutions Willingness to learn and ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly Must be a team player, both within and outside of the IT Department. Must be able to work within time constraints and multi-task. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple cases and /or projects. Analyzes systems and processes for operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel Confers with project staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget Project documentation (i.e. Scope and business requirement gathering and documentation, status reports, issue logs, risk identification and mitigation, development of project schedules/plans Prepares project reports for management, client, or others Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies Perform other duties as required.
