A registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Health System is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of patients in NNICU, NTICU, NW7 and Interventional Radiology.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Required: 2 Years of clinical Nursing experience
Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills; knowledge of organizational functions, policies and regulations; knowledge of current trends and new developments; knowledge of principles and practices of nursing, applicable to those areas requiring special education.
Preferred: Critical Care Experience

Current Licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee.
BLS within 30 days of hire
Certification (CCRN, SCRN)
Department Position Summary:
The employee must have the ability to assess patients, select, develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for Neuro patients in NNICU, NW7, NTICU or Interventional Radiology. He or she must also have the ability to administer pharmacological drugs as ordered, perform procedures, and operate equipment necessary for patient care as assigned.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the units policies and procedures. Employee will be required to staff within the Neuro Areas (NNICU, NTICU, NW7, and Interventional Radiology).
The individual must be willing to float to all the other Erlanger ICUs and acute care areas including East and North, if they are unable to be used in the Neuro specific areas.
