Under the supervision of the Special Procedures Team Leader and/or Radiologist, performs a variety of invasive procedures to produce high quality radiographic images.
Graduate of approved AMA school of radiological technology.
Prior experience in Special Procedures or an intensive on-the-job training session in Special Procedures is required before taking call
Medical and/or hospital clinical experience
Basic computer experience required (1-2 years work experience or college level classes)
Prior hospital and/or physician office background

Department Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Special Procedures Team Leader and/or Radiologist, performs a variety of invasive procedures. Assists Radiologist with invasive procedures using sterile technique. This position requires independent judgment and initiative in utilization of computerized angiographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic images. Extensive communication with Radiologists is required.
The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients
requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the units policies and procedures.
