Job Summary:Position reports to the CNO with doted reporting line to the CFO. Position performs a wide variety of fiscal analysis and business counseling/educational services in support of Nursing operations. Provides financial leadership and works collaboratively with assigned Service Line leaders. Provides financial oversight and business counsel to the clinical service line operations which include, but are not limited to, general financial analysis, planning, budgeting, performance improvement, new business or service development feasibility analysis and development of other fiscal management processes to support operations leadership with management of their departments fiscal performance. Contributes to ensuring the overall continued financial success of the System in the continuous pursuit of the fulfillment of its Mission.
Education: Required: Bachelors Degree in Finance, or Accounting.
Experience: Required: Five years in a supervisory or management capacity in a hospital setting. Proven ability to improve operations, impact business growth and maximize profits through achievements in financial management, cost reduction, internal controls and productivity efficiency improvements. Strong qualifications in business planning, systems technology design and implementation, and staff collaboration.
Proficient and advanced skills in database management, report writing, graphic and spreadsheet capabilities. Highly organized with excellent prioritization skills. Strong oral, written, interpersonal and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and with minimal managerial oversight. Critical thinking skills required.
Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and handle several complex situations simultaneously; evidence of leadership, creativity, integrity and initiative; impeccable communication and negotiating skills and attention to detail and follow-up.

Department Position Summary:
The position directs and provides financial guidance/education in support of the business operations and performance management for the Service Lines as assigned. Collaborates with Service Line operations leadership in developing and monitoring relevant financial performance metrics and financial data to determine profitability and identify areas for improvement. Provides financial guidance and support and collaborates with Service Line operations leadership in managing the revenue and expense functions within their areas of responsibility. Works with other corporate financial service departments and staff to assist with data analysis, reporting, budgeting and in depth analysis of material performance variances. As appropriate works as a team with other managers on financial projections or process improvement initiatives for the organization. Monitors on-going projects for timeliness and budgetary compliance.
The position provides financial orientation and training. The position has oversite of the annual budget preparation and quarterly variance analysis for the Service Lines as assigned. Participates in the selection of outside services (if needed). Provides ad-hoc financial analysis and reports to Senior Management as requested. Provides outstanding service to all customers, fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
