Job Summary: The Clinical Resource Coordinator is a Registered Nurse responsible for the overall education, development, and training of clinical staff through collaboration with the Clinical Administrator, Director, and Clinical Nurse Leaders. Will be responsible for conducting individual and group staff educational programs; including orientation, inservices, workshops and development of educational materials. They will also participate in outreach education as requested. The Coordinator will provide hands on training, evaluate competency and perform clinical care when necessary. The Coordinator functions independently and in collaboration with other health care providers. The Coordinator is also responsible for coordination of area specific quality processes.
Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (exception with CNO approval)Preferred: Masters degree
Required: Three years clinical experience
Preferred: Five years department specific highly recommended. Three years prior experience as an educator

Department Position Summary: The Clinical Resource Coordinator is a Registered Nurse responsible for the overall education, development, and training of clinical staff through collaboration with the Clinical Administrator, Director, and Clinical Nurse Leaders. The role may also include direct and indirect patient care. This may require scheduled shifts within the department as requested The scope of this position includes assisting with the orientation program, development and coordination of the annual credentialing process, assisting in education and evaluation of new products. This position is also responsible for designing and implementing in-services and educational programs for Erlanger staff and other health care providers. The Coordinator is responsible for evaluating staff competency, in collaboration with Department leadership, to ensure staff members have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The Coordinator must also be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide education to adult learners The Clinical Resource Coordinator must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her population-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the units policies and procedures.
