Assists organizational leaders with the prioritization, development, implementation, assessment, interpretation and improvement of data related to hospital quality services. Hospital Quality Services include areas such as Patient Flow, Patient Safety, Customer Satisfaction, and the use of Nationally Identified and Demonstrated Best Practices. Understand and maintain current knowledge related to publicly available data related to hospital performance, and ensure that internal data is collected and analyzed appropriately in order to develop opportunities to improve published data. Ensure that appropriate process, outcome, and balancing metrics are communicated in an effective manner to the relevant internal customers. Understand regulatory requirements for quality data submission, and ensure that data is submitted on a timely basis to regulatory organizations, such as CMS and Joint Commission. Use lean tools and brainstorming techniques to assist process owners with developing new and enhanced processes to improve Hospital Quality data, and ensure implementation of related process changes.
Requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree in an analytical field, such as, but not limited to engineering, computer science, accounting, finance, public health, or a bio-statistics related field.
Masters degree preferred.
At least 2 years of analytic experience, including extensive use of software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SPSS, SAS, R Programming, or other related programs.
1 or more years of experience in a healthcare environment.

Department Position Summary:
Leads and facilitates Process Improvement initiatives without direct supervision. Supports the Officers, Physician Leadership, and Organizational Advisory Committees on process improvement prioritization, design and implementation, in one or more areas of expertise, such as Patient Flow, Patient Safety, Customer Satisfaction, and the use of Nationally Identified and Demonstrated Best Practices. Facilitates and motivates key organizational Performance Improvement Initiatives, serving as a process consultant and assisting in prioritizing and analyzing process opportunities. Ensures that the appropriate process-improvement related data is included in organizational dashboards in their assigned areas of expertise, and that the dashboards are properly interpreted.
