Siskin Home- and Community-Based Developmental Therapists (“home visitors”) work with the Home- and Community Based program to implement support-based home visits to families enrolled in the Tennessee Early Intervention System and collaborative consultation to child care as described in Routines-Based Early Intervention: Supporting Young Children and Their Families (McWilliam, 2010). Home visitors report to the Director of the Home- and Community-Based Early Intervention program.
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
Minimum qualifications for a home visitor are a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child and Family Studies, Early Intervention or related field (as outlined by contract with TEIS) and experience working with young children. Hiring preference is given to those holding a master’s degree or working on obtaining a master’s degree. Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance throughout employment and provide copies of documentation when requested. Must also have an acceptable MVR record.
