Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities through supports which are tailored to the individual's needs and desires.  We support people to define their own happiness.  We ask people how they like to spend their day, what they love to do in their spare time, where they want to live and goals they would like to achieve.  We partner with them to make those things happen.  These services are provided in collaboration with local, state, national, and international partners in 11 states and six countries.  Mosaic is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Mosaic is the largest national faith-based provider of services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our more than 4,000 employees and independent contractors provide a life of possibilities to nearly 3,700 people across ten states. Overview:

The Executive Director is the leader of our agency operational team, which includes community relations, program management and direct support. Critical to their role is ensuring safety, respect, connection and integrity for the people and families we serve.



Responsibilities:


* Daily oversight of the agency
* Strategic planning, partnering and collaboration with the national supports office (Finance & Accounting, HR, Marketing, Community Relations, IT and more) and statewide teams
* Financial and budget oversight
* Employee management, including coaching and development
* Program oversight
* Financial and budget oversight
* Community relations, fundraising and advocacy
* Compliance and regulatory responsibilities

Operating with the philosophy of One Mosaic, local agencies and the national supports office complement one another in successfully carrying out our mission. Agencies have the responsibility to serve people, engage staff and involve local communities. The national supports office provides technical and operational resources, using centralized and standardized processes where possible to increase efficiencies and ease the local workload.

Requirements:


* Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Business or related field
* Minimum of five years of experience in a related field (IDD, Behavioral Health, Senior Care, etc)
* Minimum of two years management experience
* Travel between agencies (three locations within the Northern Iowa territory) and occasional travel for leadership meetings, primarily within driving distance
* Budget/Finance, Compliance/Regulatory and HR/Staffing experience preferred
* Role will be based in Forest City or one of the Northern Iowa Agency locations
