Job Description

Role Objective: Accurately complete criminal components of background check orders in a timely manner and provide a superior level of service in all interactions.

Job Summary: Complete daily criminal Operations Specialist functions and other duties as assigned based on workloads (client orders).  Position will primarily handle reviewing court provided cases and transcribing the criminal records into a standard reporting template. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, applicants, vendors and other persons as needed via One Source systems, fax, email, mail and telephone.

Essential Functions

  • Operations Specialists are responsible to monitor individual workloads and must follow procedures to know when to notify leadership for help as needed. 
  • Answering the telephone and assisting callers. Record messages for team members or operate the phone system to direct callers.
  • Demonstrate high level problem-solving skills to make educated decisions in the absence of set procedures.
  • Attendance and punctuality is essential to the success of our roles. One Source operates lean and is adversely impacted by absenteeism.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies:

  • Consistently exhibit a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong typing skills, preferably with the ability to type an average of 40 WPM.
  • Demonstrate high level computer skills with the ability to learn functionality of Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to gather information for work assignments.
  • Demonstrates problem solving, typically through research and analyzing facts.
  • Operations Specialist must have a professional and confidential demeanor in dealing with team members, clients, applicants and vendors in accordance with One Source’s standards and procedures.
