The Marketing Data Strategy & Analytics Director is a key leader on the Retail Consumer Engagement team, which works in a fast-paced environment to create and deploy strategies and tactics for retention and acquisition of Hallmark Gold Crown and consumers.  The team is accountable for the entire range marketing activation activities including loyalty, direct to consumer, digital, social, video and e-commerce, and leverages state-of-the-art tools to deliver impactful, innovative and award-winning marketing solutions.

What does the Marketing Data Strategy & Analytics Director do?

  • Develop and drive the advancement of the data and analytics strategy for Hallmark Retail in order to maximize consumer engagement, retail sales and financial returns. 
  • Use a deep understanding of modern data exploitation and predictive analytic techniques, as well as strong leadership skills, to influence the organization to more fully adopt data-driven decision making and infuse new ways to harness consumer and retail sales data. 
  • Lead a team of marketing and retail sales analytic experts who are valued for their insights that are derived from historical data analytics and forward-looking predictions.

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting in retail or information-intensive industry
  • Professional experience within data analytics and reporting software (e.g. Excel, MicroStrategy, Tableau)


  • Bachelors degree in business intelligence, marketing, mathematics or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting from a marketing perspective
  • Masters Degree in business, mathematics or related field
  • Significant experience with statistics and sales attribution modeling
  • Significant experience with predictive analytics and modeling
  • Experience in working with big data infrastructures like Hadoop
  • Able to translate quantitative analytics into actionable recommendations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability explain analytic process concepts and technologies to business leaders
  • Passion to bring, continually learn and teach others about state-of-the-art data analytic practices
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and influence skills
  • Strong financial acumen
