    Required Qualifications

    • Bi-lingual: fluent reading, writing, speaking. Not limited to, but Spanish, a plus
    • High School Diploma, some college preferred
    • Minimum 1 year customer service experience
    • Strong organizational skills, decision making, customer service and computer skills are essential
    • Excellent phone etiquette, strong communication and listening skills
    • Monday through Friday work week with occasional Saturdays
    • Credit Counselor Certification and HUD Housing Counselor Certification required by 6 months of employment

    We will train you for our industry! Duties will include (but are not limited to):

    • Meeting with English and Bi-lingual calls and walk-ins
    • Screen all clients for housing stability issues
    • Create and review budgets with clients
    • Complete credit report reviews with clients
    • Educate all clients on sound money management, budgeting and consumer spending issues
    • Identify areas of client financial knowledge gaps and facilitate client education throughout completion of counseling
    • Review and analyze all client data thoroughly to create individual Action Plans to address client issues, providing alternatives to ensure successful outcomes
    • Use critical thinking skills in sound decision making during the counseling process
    • Use leadership skills to motivate client to action on recommendations/action plans
    • Complete monthly outgoing client follow up calls
    • Complete Client contact protocols according to program requirements, providing appropriate follow-up with clients as necessary to ensure policy/procedures compliance and successful outcomes
    • Update and monitor various tracking logs
    • Professionally maintain all client and creditor correspondence, data and notes (both physical and electronic files), completing data entry and client record updates
    • Complete various financial management activities related to client programs such as posting payments, voiding checks, account audits
    • Accurately complete monthly and annual reporting requirements
    • Obtain and Maintain all certifications, registrations, roster memberships required by industry, agency and regulating bodies

    Salary range: $34,320 - $42,328 annual salary depending on experience, obtaining required certifications tied to future increases.
