Amber Specialty Pharmacy is GROWING, and we are seeking employees to help us achieve patient excellence and assist patients. As pharmaceutical products enter the market to service patients, such as the “Covid-19 Cocktail”, we can offer it to patients. We seek Pharmacy Technicians in our satellite locations spread out across Portland, ME, to San Bernardino, CA. We help patients in all 50 states including Puerto Rico. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with weekends and holidays off.
As a licensed and accredited pharmacy, our technicians work under a pharmacist's direct supervision and ensure all company policies and procedures. Our pharmacy systems and software support us in obtaining patient and drug information safely and efficiently.
To provide support in preparing and distributing specialty and infusion medications to serve the whole health experience for individuals with chronic, complex conditions. A collaborative effort for the patients to provide medical, emotional, financial, and psychological needs through making a positive impact in their lives.
Pharmacy Technicians are instrumental to our mission and values. Your role draws upon your experience and expertise as a technician applied in a specialty and infusion environment.
You will triage and resolve issues from validating prescriptions to problem-solving invalid prescriptions. You work with the insurance or payers to confirm coverage and pharmacist/nurses to obtain information to verify medicines and all the protocols of approval and overrides.
You provide support that does not require the attention of the pharmacist.
You will adhere to all FDA REMS, accreditation, licensure, or any related entities in the workflow of referrals to refills. We take no shortcuts; safety is a priority. Therefore, our staff, Technicians comprehensively document the actions taken to confirm steps were followed.
Technicians will compound non-sterile prescriptions and pull medications, count, and fill prescriptions.
Amber Specialty Pharmacy will utilize your technical, professional training and education in a supportive and training-oriented environment.
Educational or Certification Requirements:
- Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program and maintains continuing education requirements to keep certification active.
- Current unrestricted state registration.
- Certification through a nationally recognized program upon hire or within state-specific guidelines.
- High School education or equivalent
