JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the selling of company’s services including lawn care programs, aerations, overseedings, perimeter pest control and other product lines.  Communicates with the sales manager on a regular basis to determine daily calling schedule.  Works with the sales manager to optimize sales efficiency with lawn care technicians ensuring the highest level of customer service.  Works with the office staff to effectively service our customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Daily calling schedule to existing customers for cross-sell opportunities in aerations, overseedings, fungicide programs, pesticide programs, etc.

2. Follow up on estimates with potential customers that are interested our services.  

3. Keeps customer information current and updated, as well as sends customers information about the company and/or services.

4. Tracks sales production and builds/runs reports as needed/requested and provides such reports to the sales manager.

5. Demonstrates general knowledge in lawn care products including (but not limited to) fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides.

6. Optimizes the resources of the company by managing work flow, ensuring you have the tools you need to deliver an excellent customer experience.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned by management.

2. Cross trains in other departments for back-up support.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES (KSAs) and TALENTS:

1. Strong telemarketing phone skills

2. Skill in operating personal computer and programs such as spreadsheets, database, word processing.

3. Skill in verbal and written communication.

4. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

5. Knowledge of lawn care industry and related principles and practices.

6. Ability to close sales

8. Ability to work nights and weekends

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelors Degree in business administration or related field preferred;

2. Two (2) years sales work experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to illustrate a proven track record in the business field.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Hourly wage plus commission/bonus:  TBD
