What will an EHR Specialist do everyday?
- Listen and communicate with others in a professional and caring manner including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles
Build positive relationships with internal and external clients through inbound and outbound communication
Support and maintenance of help desk functions to the electronic health record systems, troubleshoot MAR related issue
Provide support to EHR training team, including preparing materials, setting up and providing technology support
Train to be an expert in pharmacy processes and various electronic health record systems, as well as other technology programs
Help problem solve to answer internal and external client s questions and build the relationship with each one.
Act as a liaison between the facility and pharmacy, and problem solve to ensure and maintain efficient processes.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification required
One year of experience working in health care environment working with electronic medical records and/or health care software required
Pharmacy Technician License in Nebraska and Iowa required
Cubex or Pyxis experience preferred
Basic Pharmacy Order Entry experience preferred
Excellent communication skills - oral, written, and technical
Strong attention to detail & organization
Long Term Care experience a plus
Independent worker with great time management skills
Professional customer service/relations skills
Must be able to actively contribute to a positive team environment
Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks, remain focused, and work independently
Position hours: Full-time Monday thru Friday 8:30 - 5pm and 9 - 5:30pm. Occasional on call during weekends and after hours. Flexibility is a must.
You must be reliable and have a solid work history to be seriously considered for the position. A completed pre-employment drug screen and background check will be conducted.
