The Department of Health and Human Services, Behavioral Health Division is seeking a Medical Director to join the Norfolk Regional Center's leadership team.

Norfolk Regional Center 1700 N. Victory Rd Norfolk, NE 
8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday-Friday with on-call hours 
Hiring rate is negotiable. Compensation based on experience.
  1. Leads the clinical staff regarding patient care. Attends various committee meetings to represent medical staff opinions regarding patient care issues. Is a member of the Governing Body and attends quarterly meetings.
  2. Provides supervision to mid-level practitioners (physician assistants) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  3. Has a patient case load which includes medication management, diagnosis, psychiatric assessment, progress notes and treatment planning.
  4. Is assigned after-hours call in a rotation with other medical staff to address medical and psychiatric needs of patients.
  5. Provides scoring and assessments for sex offenders regarding level achievement.
  6. Provides expert testimony at Mental Health Board Hearings as assigned. 
REQUIREMENTS: M.D. degree and Psychiatry Board Certification required.

PREFERRED: Experience in sex offender treatment program as a Psychiatrist.

OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent approved transportation.
