8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday 
ServeNebraska Development Officer will provide technical assistance and expertise; to the commission, local, state, nonprofit agencies, sub-awardees and others in the development of programming and understanding the allocation of federal funds available, ensuring efficiency and compliance with federal law, 2CFR200 and regulations in the use of those funds; manages record maintenance of grants; performs related work as required. Work with subgrantees in the development and continuous improvement of program systems and objectives. Work to create target areas in the State to enhance AmeriCorps awareness and potential programming. Provide responsive customer service, high-quality support, and targeted technical assistance to develop new sub-awardees and potential applicants. Provides support in ensuring sound fiscal/programmatic oversight of the Commission and organizations receiving grant funds, including support of; budget and financial systems analysis; organizational capacity internal control reviews; single audit and financial statement audit reviews; fiscal monitoring reviews; analysis of changes or updates to 2CFR200, federal regulations, funder directives, grantees policies, procedures and systems; and verbal and written communication with subgrantees. Forecasts future funding as part of developing new programming or evaluating existing sub-awards collaborates with the Executive director and SN program and fiscal staff in sub-granting funds. Coordinates and understand the development of performance measures and evidence-based evaluation processes for implementation with the commission and subgrantees. Assists SN staff in monitoring activities including desk audits and on-site visits. Understands the Nebraska AmeriCorps fiscal specifics from the Notice of Funding Opportunity from the Corporation for National and Community Service in order to assist grant applicants through the application process from narrative to budget. 
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in grants management, business administration, public administration, accounting, budgeting, or a related fiscal field, and two years experience in grant management, contract administration, accounting, budgeting, or other fiscal-related areas of work. Additional years of experience in the areas listed may substitute for the required education, on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED: Experience with Grants Management.

OTHER: Serve Nebraska will provide training for a certification in grants management. 
ServeNebraska is seeking an individual who is detail oriented, seeks information to resolve discrepancies and is able to gather the needed information, consider and evaluate all relevant information to make a logical conclusion to move forward. Is an analytical thinker who is able to exhibit and grasp the concepts in complex information and understands the importance of being service focused and able to build relationships with Commissioners and Sub awardees. Applicant needs to have the capacity to understand and comprehend federal grants management, budgeting, and accounting.
