DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide support to the Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Payment program, as a Staff Assistant I.

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm; M-F
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
The Staff Assistant I will work with the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program team. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will thoroughly review enrollment documentation to ensure accuracy and verify data on enrollment forms within various systems including Nebraska Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and Truven data warehouse. This position is responsible for organizing, processing and tracking electronically submitted documentation; assisting with report preparation; and providing courteous and prompt response to inquiries from providers, answering questions about program.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

PREFERRED: Minimum of two years of experience with office, administrative, or support work. Experience with understanding and applying procedures/practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Nebraska MMIS Experience, Truven Data, and Medicaid EHR incentive program rules and regulations.

OTHER: Must possess a valid driver's license or ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to manage multiple tasks at one time, have the ability to independently problem solve, be able to work with internal staff and external providers, partners, and clients. Ability to organize and track projects efficiently a must. Detail oriented. Ability to understand and apply instructions and program-administrative policies and directives, work independently yet collaboratively in a team setting; analyze, develop and organize materials; establish and maintain positive relationships with Agency staff, service providers, clients, and other diverse individuals; and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
