|DEPARTMENT:||Health & Human Services Department|
Temporary position estimated to last at least four months, with the potential to extend to six months.
Hours: Sunday-Thursday 5:30am - 2pm.
Location: Lincoln Regional Center
|EXAMPLES OF WORK:|
Prepare and serve meals to patients, ensure food safety and sanitation practices are enforced, and operate, clean and maintain kitchen equipment.
|QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:|
REQUIREMENTS: One year of coursework/training in food preparation and/or cooking and baking experience in a large scale food service operation.
PREFERRED: Training in food preparation and/or cooking in a large scale food service operation.
|KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:|
Knowledge of: cooking techniques for meats, soups, salads and baked goods; food sanitation practices; the proper handling and processing of a variety of vegetables and fruits; kitchen equipment and utensils; kitchen safety practices; facility standards and procedures for the cleaning of dishes, utensils, equipment and facilities; facility food preparation schedules. Must be able to stand on feet for four or more hours and lift up to 40 lbs.
