Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm during mandatory training 9am - 6pm after training.
Salary: $14.67/hr Trainee / $16.79/hr Worker.
|EXAMPLES OF WORK:|
This position is located in our Fremont Customer Service Center. Your day would include telephone interaction with customers of various socio-economic levels. Duties include but are not limited to: gathering financial and demographic information; accurately processing assigned work tasks and preparing correspondence; working with computer databases which are used to update, document and verify customer information. This position is the first step to qualifying for advancement to a Social Services Worker. Mandatory Training Period consists of 8 weeks.
|QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:|
REQUIREMENTS: 24 semester hours of post high school education in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, social sciences, education or closely related field OR experience in customer service, determining eligibility for public assistance, examining/processing financial loan applications, medical or unemployment insurance or rehabilitation claims, unemployment services OR a combination of education and experience in any of the above areas.
PREFERRED: Call Center Experience or demonstrated experience in a customer contact setting; demonstrated computer experience, MS Excel, MS Word; Outlook, database experience a plus; phone based customer service.
OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Attendance during Mandatory Training Period required.
|KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:|
Please highlight knowledge, skills or experience relating to database use, telephone based customer service, and call center experience. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate proficient data entry computer skills while communicating with customers; must be able to multi-task and navigate between various computer systems; have good communication skills and are customer focused; have the ability to learn quickly and successfully via webinars and on-line courses; work independently and is a self-starter; and, can apply critical thinking skills. Must have good time management skills and be able to set and manage priorities.
