DESCRIPTION:
$22.860 per hour **additional pay provided based on experience 

Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm

EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Surveys/inspects health care facilities for conformance with State and Federal regulations; provides education to providers of health care facilities to ensure health care needs of residents/patients are being met. Primary survey responsibilities are in both Federal certification and State Licensure programs for long term care facilities. During surveys, will conduct observations of care provision and the environment; interviews with residents, families, and facility staff; and reviews of facility records. 
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework/training in professional nursing AND experience in hospital, public health or nursing administration, teaching or surveying health care facilities. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.

OTHER: Completion of surveyor training courses as prescribed by the federal Medicare/Medicaid programs is required for continued employment. Continuing education is a requirement to maintain licensure as a Licensed Registered Nurse. Frequent overnight and/or regular day travel is required of incumbents of this job class; valid driver's license or independent authorized transportation required. May work irregular hours to accomplish surveys. Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Besides items listed above, must have critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze data from multiple sources, be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and have basic computer knowledge and skills.
