Individuals in this position do forensic and general psychological evaluations for patients admitted into LRC. Duties include initial, annual and risk assessment evaluations; forensic evaluations for competency to stand trial, NRRI evaluations with recommendations and possible testimony to the court. It would also include individual and group therapy, treatment planning in collaboration with the team, recommendations for discharge and discharge planning, in order to meet patient and community safety and manage court referrals in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be licensed to practice psychology in the state of Nebraska. Preferred: Experience and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, forensic evaluation, psychological testing and assessment of chronic mental health issues, trauma informed care concepts, and group therapy interventions. Experience with treatment planning as part of a multidisciplinary team.
