Work Schedule:4 hr. shifts, 3-7 with 8 hour days, as needed. Days off will vary. Every other weekend is 10:30-7.
|EXAMPLES OF WORK:|
Responsibilities for this part time position include setting up salads and desserts for supper and serving the supper meal to patients and staff. Complete general ware washing with clean up and sanitation of the cafeteria and food service area. Operate cash register, make change accurately and fill out simple reports.
|QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:|
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework, training and/or experience in food preparation, food service or working in a kitchen.
PREFERRED: High school graduate. Some computer knowledge.
|KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:|
Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and patients. Ability to follow verbal and written instruction in the English language. Ability to work in a fast paced, time limited, high security environment. Ability to make simple cash transactions and count change accurately. Ability to read and interpret menus. Basic knowledge of operation of a commercial dish machine, steam tables, commercial toaster and cash register. Physical abilities include working in a standing and/or walking position for a prolonged period of time with lifting, pushing and pulling of equipment, up to 35 lbs. Occasional stooping, twisting and/or bending is unavoidable..
