Job Description


Major Duties:
As an Engineering Technician (Aerospace) you will;

  • Serves as the Electrical/Mechanical 3-D CAD Designer/Modeling Expert for the A-10 SPO
  • Develops 3-D CAD Policies, Procedures and Training
  • Performs Full Range of Aerospace Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technician Duties
  • Qualifications

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-11) or equivalent within the Federal Civil Service (or equivalent in an alternate pay system), or public sector. Specialized experience should include engineering technician experience in 3-D electrical and mechanical systems CAD designs such as principles, techniques, practices, or concepts.

    PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.  You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.



  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and commercial aircraft.
  • Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable safety directives.  Unsafe conditions are to be promptly reported to the immediate supervisor.
  • Position requires incumbent to have extensive knowledge of science or engineering and technical management principles as demonstrated by experience and/or professional degree.
  • May be required to work irregular hours, overtime, and subject to callback on an emergency basis.
  • Must obtain and maintain suitable security clearance.
