Job Description


Provides administrative oversight of the Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Independently conducts various reviews to assess organizational performance. Focal point for fraud prevention. Based on general supervisory guidance, reviews and coordinates, with management and affected supervisors, new or modified applications affecting automated systems. Gathers data, tracks discrepancies, prepares trend charts, and facilitates discussions with personnel at financial or QA meetings. Cross-feeds various reports and bulletins, on a routine basis, through various electronic communications such as, emails and websites throughout the Wing financial management community. Facilitates monthly QA meetings and prepares minutes. Based on study results, determines need for refresher and supplementary training. Preforms other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, financial or other responsible work requiring analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Experience using computer and automation systems.

Specialized Experience: GS-09 - Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training which involved commonly used financial control system regulations, policies, and procedures. Experience in managing, analyzing, organizing, and preparing reports.

GS-11 Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training which includes a comprehensive knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, and executing regulations, guidelines, and processes. Experience in applying analytical reasoning in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of budgetary problems and developing alternative solutions.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: N/A

Applicants who are substituting education for specialized experience (totally or partially) must submit either an official transcript or a statement from the registrar, dean, or other appropriate official of the OPM approved educational institution (military schools & most technical schools included).

Other Requirements: A pre-employment physical or medical screening may be required for placement to this position Selectee will be required to participate in Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT) program as a condition of employment.

Security Clearence Requirement: Employment is subject to attaining and maintaining a security clearance as required by the position Failure to complete prescribed courses for new personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination.

Note: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowance is not authorized for this position based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Governments interest.
