You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service that has given you particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position. Typically we would find this experience in work within this field which includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing activities of the Maintenance Operations and related type functions and advising higher level management concerning assigned programs. (To be creditable, specialized experience must meet the above quality level requirements).

Substitution of Education for Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related in a relevant field of study (e.g., Logistics Management, History, Public Administration, any Science degree, Mathematics, Business) from an accredited college/university. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) necessary to perform the duties of the position. If qualifying based on education, a legible copy of your college transcripts identifying Institution name and location, type of degree awarded and date conferred is required.
Combining Experience and Education: Equivalent combinations or successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Position may or will require incumbent to: (1) Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments. (2) Incumbent must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbents regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. (3) Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance. (4) This is a drug testing designated position. Incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. (5) May be required to work unusual tour of duty or extended hours during emergencies or surge scenarios. (6) Must sign Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
