Job Description


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Manages, controls, oversees, coordinates and implements the base mobility assets program and function. Responsible for the automated Mobility Inventory Control Accountability System (MICAS) database to include the installation of software upgrades and regular database backups. Identifies mobility bag and customer individual protective requirements.  Receives, stores and issues, Type A, B C, and D mobility bag assets. Establishes and controls the MRSP/CRSP program for all assigned units.  Coordinates authorizations with NGB. Responsible for the storage of weapons indentified for extended storage. Establishes and maintains War Reserve Material (WRM) details. Responsible for leak and serviceability testing of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRN-D) masks and components utilizing the Joint Service Mask Leak Tester (JSMLT). Provides MAJCOM with input for Air Staff data calls, reports, database rollups, and information pertaining to MICAS tracked mobility bag assets, Individual Protective Equipment, and Readiness Spares Packages. Develops base operating instructions, plans, and procedures involving mobility assets to include mobility bag, weapons, and readiness spares packages. Performs other duties as assigned.





: Selected candidate is required to be assigned to a compatible military unit and MOS/AFSC in accordance with TPR 303. AFSC: 2SXXX

Meeting the months of experience requirement will not by itself be accepted as proof of qualification. Quality, type, and scope of experience or education must be demonstrated to show that applicant is fully qualified to perform duties at the grade level announced.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to compare item identification against receiving reports and issue request forms; skill in using hand trucks, dollies, and other equipment to move stock; ability to use hammers, pliers, and other hand tools; and to follow oral and written instructions.

REQUIRED SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 9 months experience or training in receiving, packaging, and preparation for shipment.  Experience in compiling reports, overall warehouse planning, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques.  Experience in setting up and rotating storage locations considering factors such as life expectancy, available space, product turnover, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Resume must reflect applicable experience.

Knowledge of a wide range of warehousing and supply principles, concepts, and methodologies involving general supply, storage, distribution, and inventory specialties.

Knowledge of established principles, concepts, and methods of environmental protection relating to hazardous materials.

Knowledge of USAF standards, regulations, statutes, policies, and guidelines to assure compliance, safe working practices, prevention of damage to government property, and prevention of accidental injuries and mishaps.  

Ability to communicate in writing to prepare, compile, and research information for mobility assets.


MILITARY REQUIREMENTS Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements.  Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS.  Specific requirements are found in: references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section.

For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
