Job Description


Serves as the installation commanders consultant for all sexual assault issues and represents the commander and vice commander on various installation committees, working groups, conferences, community meetings and state Case Management Group (CMG). As co-chair, assists the wing CC/CV with the wing monthly CMG. Keeps the wing CC/CV informed of issues, status of program, areas needing improvement, etc., as well as case management and ANG installation climate. Where DoD, NGB, and Air Force policy allow the victim confidential disclosure, provides the commander with non-identifying information allowed within regulation. Notifies vice commander of status of victim care and any assistance needed that is not being provided by base agencies. Work with state and/or local Public Affairs Officer on high profile reports of sexual assault. Coordinates with the regional SAPRAC representative to provide input to the national representative. Provides an out brief to wing CC/CV with EO regarding installation unit climate assessments. Develops opportunities for command emphasis on core values and positive behavior. Seeks, analyzes, and documents input from interested parties about the program and makes recommendations to concerned program officials including the vice commander, MAJCOM CC and headquarters level program managers, as appropriate, for modifications in the ANG program and practices. Evaluates procedures, results, relationships, and interactions to improve mission accomplishment, implement quality improvements, or in response to concerns about statutory and regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Serves as a member of the installations Integrated Delivery System (IDS) and an advisor to the Community Action Information Board (CAIB) as the commanders consultant on institutionalizing core values throughout the Air Force, consults on and coordinates activities in other areas of human relation needing prevention efforts. May be assigned to collaborate with the DPH and provide expertise and coordination in other problems areas.

Military Membership in the Ohio National Guard is required

  • Minimum Military Grade:  Capt/O-3 (P)
  • Maximum Military Grade: Maj/O-4
  • Compatible Officer Military Assignment: 38P3

General Experience:  Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration.  Experience using computer and automation systems.


Specialized Experience:(GS - 11) -  36 months experience in which the applicant demonstrates:

1.  Experience or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions.

2.  Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations.

3.  Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures.

4.  Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.


SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: NOTE: College Transcripts are required if you wish to use Education as a substitution for experience or if a degree is a requirement for the position.  A copy of the transcript must be submitted with the Job Application. Study successfully completed in a college, university, technical or vocational school may be substituted for experience at the rate of one year of study (30 semester hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 6 months of experience.  Courses must be directly related to the work of the position.  Maximum credit is 6 months of specialized experience.


This position is being announced in accordance with state merit promotion procedures and collective bargaining agreement. Wearing of the appropriate military uniform is required while employed in this position. Permanent change of duty station (PCS) funds are not available.

Successful applicant will be assigned to a compatible military position in an appropriate unit of assignment in the Ohio National Guard.
