Provide advanced technical, instructional, and training support to upgrade skills to obtain maximum performance on all aspects of the Air Operations Center (AOC) force level weapons system. As a certified trainer, incumbent administers refresher and advanced training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instructs and evaluates AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record. Interviews assigned enlisted AOC personnel to determine operational background in their respective weapons systems/specialties. Assists in the planning and development of instruction on AOC operations skills. Projects enlisted unit training requirements. Prepares required training records. Conducts training utilizing AOC plans and operations processes, procedures, systems, and specific positional duties. Projects enlisted unit training requirements. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all technical aspects of equipment assigned to the AOC weapons systems and its interface with applicable U. S. and allied, aircraft, space weapons systems, search and rescue, theater missile defense and air tasking order development and execution. Supports and assists the development of briefing and mission preparations. Incumbent of this position is subject to rotation to perform administrative tasks in any of the following Air Operations Group program support functional areas: training/evaluation, combat plans and combat operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: Must possess 36 months of specialized experience which demonstrates ability to function as a certified Air Operations trainer, evaluator, task certifier and the ability to measure the effectiveness of Air Operations training programs. Experience in arranging and designing training programs to meet the needs of a diverse group of trainees under established directives. Experience which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Air Operations Center (AOC) duty positions and a working knowledge of the system of record (Theater Battle Management Core System). Experience which demonstrates ability to organize and prepare scenario based briefings/exercises. Experience in administering enlisted training programs, managing upgrade training programs and monitoring/analyzing progression.
