Duties

THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION

This position is located within an National Guard flying
unit. Its purpose is to supervise and manage logistics staff functions
consisting of the Maintenance Operations Center (MOC); Plans,
Scheduling and Documentation (PS&D); Engine Management; Maintenance
Training; Depot Level Repairables (DLR); Programs and Mobility; and
Production Analysis/Data Base Management.

Qualifications

General: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidates can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining the repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.

Supervisory Production Controller (Aircraft), GS-1152-11: Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training in computations of cost data on labor and materials, buying materials or reviewing data with respect to man-hours, machine time, materials consumed, etc; Experienced with current automation support programs to input date, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.; Experience in supervising subordinate personnel, establishing work priorities, overseeing work in progress.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The following knowledges, skills, and abilities will be used by the selecting officials to determine the best qualified applicants from which selection will be made:

1. Ability to formulate long range and immediate plans and programs relative to maintenance, modifications and repair of assigned equipment

2. Knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control and production control records.

3. Ability to verify preparation of work orders.

*CREDITING EXPERIENCE:  NATIONAL GUARD SERVICE MAY BE CREDITED AS FULL-TIME EXPERIENCE WHEN EVALUATED AGAINST THE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR A MILITARY TECHNICIAN POSITION.  EXPERIENCE MUST BE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE POSITION AND MUST BE DESCRIBED IN THE WORK EXPERIENCE SECTION OF THE APPLICATION AND/OR résumé. THE LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE IS DETERMINED BY THE ACTUAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED.  BE DESCRIPTIVE, A SIMPLE LIST OF JOB TITLES AND DATES WILL NOT SUFFICE. 

Conditions of Employment:

Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance.

Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards.

Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives.

Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
