Job Description

Duties

The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position:  A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office.

DUTIES: Performs maintenance and operational and functional checks on assigned pneudraulic systems.  Performs installation, modification, and/or repair of aircraft pneudraulic systems.  Performs organizational and field level maintenance to include periodic, phase time, calendar, unscheduled, and special inspection.  Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG, and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  APPLICANT MUST PROVIDE A COPY OF A CURRENT VALID UNEXPIRED STATE DRIVERS LICENSE

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work..

Please address the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) in your resume:  Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated on the following KSAs considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this posit.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Must have 18 months of experience in the following:ABILTY to fabricate fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines.SKILL in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. ABILITY to diagnose malfunctions and overhaul pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts.ABILITY to diagnose trouble and determine remedies.ABILITY to repair using hand tools and test equipment.

ABILITY to interpret technical manuals and specifications and publications.

SUBSTITUTION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: N/A

-ANG/AIR FORCE: Current Report Individual Person (RIP)

-ARNG/Army: Current Personal Qualifications Report (PQR) or Enlisted Record Brief (ERB)

-DD214 for applicants who are separated from military service (This includes anyone who is no longer in the military.)

-Army Applicants must provide a memorandum from their Security Manager stating their security clearance eligibility - if applicable

-Applicants from other branches of military service must submit equivalent military personal information that will provide current military rank, ASVAB Scores, clearance level , etc
