Job Description

Duties

1. Supervisor: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. . 25%

2. Wing Advisor: Provides technical advice and assistance to wing leadership on business processes and performance and efficiency of logistics readiness functions of the squadron/ wing. . 20%

3. LRS Training, Resources and Systems: Manages and performs work for providing training, resources, and systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of installation deployment processes. . 20%

4. Senior Squadron Technical Advisor: As the squadron senior technical advisor on logistics readiness and AEF issues, performs/leads studies, and provides technical advice and assistance on development and implementation of readiness mission capabilities.  15%

5. Wing Logistics Readiness Representative: Represents the wing regarding logistics readiness issues at meetings within the organization and at conferences with JFHQ-State, USPFO, NG, MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DoD, and other agencies. . 10%

6. LRS Management: Plans, organizes, and maintains oversight of the activities of the Logistics Readiness Squadron, ensuring the planning efforts and work products and services of all the squadron functions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.  Directs self-assessment activities. 10%

Qualifications

 

The basic qualification requirements are indicated below.  These requirements must be met in addition to all military requirements and selective placement factors indicated in order to be considered qualified for this position. 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
  Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.



SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE(GS-12): 

Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.

 

 

 

**QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE**
Length of time is not itself qualifying.  The applicants experience will be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual.  The applicants record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.

 

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelors degree, in an accredited college or university.


**Applicants who are substituting education for specialized experience (totally or partially) must submit either an official transcript or statement from the registrar, dean, or other appropriate official of the OPM approved educational institution (military schools & most technical schools included).  Please attach these forms to your application and send them to the Human Resources Office as directed under "How to Apply".**

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:

- Compatibility:  If selected, the individual must be qualified for, or assigned to, a compatible military position in one of the following DAFSC specialties prior to actual placement in the position:

         AFSC:  21RX
